This privacy policy sets out how La Visch Designs uses and protects any information that you give La Visch Designs when you use this website or our services. Your privacy is very important to us. We take great care to keep your information safe and will never share it with others without your express permission. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

La Visch Designs may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from August 18, 2021.

What we collect

The processing of personal data, such as the name or e-mail address shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

La Visch Designs may collect and process the following data:

  • Information regarding a purchase (also see heading below);
  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on This includes information provided at the time of requesting further services or information. We may also ask you for information when you report any problems with our site;
  • Information that you provide when subscribing to the La Visch Designs mailing list;
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence;
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs, and other communication data and the resources that you access; and
  • Any information incidental to that listed above.

Purchases made on

E-commerce services for the La Visch Designs online store are provided by PayHip, you can read their privacy policy here. As a seller on PayHip, and as their external shopping cart is implemented on this website, I receive a copy of each download email that gets sent out after purchase – these emails do not contain any of your financial details and are sent automatically by PayHip, and it is done so that sellers have proof of delivery. PayHip stores your email address, and I have access to this sales information. Both the information in the PayHip database, and the information emailed to La Visch Designs, is only used for to be able to refer back to your order details so that we may track any orders you have queries on. The purchase confirmation emails from PayHip are saved within my email provider for 7 years for tax purposes, and deleted after this timeframe.

Payments are collected and processed through PayPal (PayPal terms), and through Stripe (Stripe terms). I receive notification of payment emails with every purchase that is made. These emails do not contain any financial details beyond the value of the purchase. The information regarding your purchase is also saved in the PayPal systems to which I have access. Both the information in the PayPal database, and the information emailed to La Visch Designs, is only used for to be able to refer back to your order details so that we may track any orders you have queries on. The purchase emails from PayPal are saved within my own email provider for 7 years for tax purposes and deleted after this timeframe.

Financial information

Neither us, PayHip, PayPal, nor Stripe retain any financial information you may submit as part of the purchasing process. PayPal and Stripe monitor every transaction, 24/7 to prevent fraud, email phishing, and identity theft. Every transaction is heavily guarded behind advanced encryption. If something appears suspicious, their dedicated team of security specialists will identify suspicious activity and help protect you from fraudulent transactions. PayPal, Stripe or will never ask for any sensitive information.

Contact form and direct email

When you get in touch with me you are required to provide your name and email address so that I can reply to you. These emails are stored within my email provider. This way, I have a record of our discussion should you get in touch again about an issue. This also helps in case there is a need for me to make amendments to any information within a pattern, tutorial, or on this website. These emails are never shared and your details remain private.

Email newsletter

If you choose to join our regular newsletter mailings (sent via email), the email address that you submit to us will be stored in our subscriber database from MailerLite, our email marketing provider. You can read their privacy policy here. The email address that you submit will not be stored in any of our internal computer systems.

Your email address will remain within the mailing list database for as long as we continue to use the MailerLite platform for email marketing. Or, of course, until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that we send you. I do not receive any details from MailerLite when users subscribe or unsubscribe. However, as MailerLite stores the data that you provide when you subscribe (i.e your email address and name), I have access to it.

Affiliated sites

We offer some of our services in connection with other web sites. These take the form of affiliate links or advertisements. This means that at no extra cost to you, La Visch Designs may receive a commission if a purchase is made through the affiliate link/website. In order to track this, a cookie and the visitors’ IP is stored for 30 days or until a particular visitor carries out their purchase. For more information on this, also read the paragraphs on cookies below.

Personal information that you provide to affiliated sites may be sent to La Visch Designs in order to deliver the service. We process such information in accordance with this Policy. The affiliated sites may have different privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Cookies on

A cookie is a small text file sent to your computer when you visit a website, storing information about the visitor. The storage of cookies is a common internet technology that is applied in a variety of websites. Keep in mind that the website may not function optimally with cookies disabled. Data may not be properly stored and there may be problems with remembering your order in your shopping cart. We ask for your understanding on this.

Google Analytics

When someone visits we use a third-party service, Google Analytics. We use this service to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

The retention period for data collected by Google Analytics is 14 months. The retention period resets with new activity on Once the retention period expires, all data associated with a specific user identifier will automatically be deleted. Please read the privacy packages of Google Analytics to understand how your information may be used by this third party.

Controlling your personal information

La Visch Designs will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. Nor will we use your personal information to send you promotional information unless you’ve subscribed to our mailing list. If you have signed up to receive our newsletter / requested information from us, we will retain your information until you request to be removed/deleted. Subject to the exceptions described below, La Visch Designs deletes or anonymizes your information upon request.

Subject to applicable law, La Visch Designs may retain the following information:

  • If there is an unresolved issue, such as an outstanding invoice;
  • We may also retain certain information if necessary for legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention.
  • If we are required to by applicable law; and/or in aggregated and/or anonymized form.

You have the right to access information held about you by La Visch Designs. You can find out if we hold any personal information about you by making a “data subject access request” under GDPR 2016. If we do hold information about you, we will:

  • give you a description of it;
  • tell you why we are holding it;
  • tell you who it could be disclosed to; and
  • let you have a copy.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Social Media Widgets: includes social media features, such as the Facebook Like button and other widgets, that run on our site. These features may collect your IP address and which page you are visiting. They may also set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly.
